Housing is so fucking complex. I mean, kind of every decision is, I guess- but choosing where to live is hugely disruptive. I want to live in The Vibes™! But I also need a roof over my head. Rude!
sooo rude. i was just in a v similar situation and just as i was deciding to cling to my current situation (that was not working) my landlord went nuts and made moving on my only choice. sometimes the universe decides for you!
I sure did love this reflection, thank you. <3 I am also about to hit four years in my apartment which is also the literal longest I've lived anywhere since childhood. I am also feeling, for many reasons, the need to leave. So anyway, this was extra special to read and be with, ty again.
I think there’s something here too about being a renter and seeing everyone around me owning their homes. Like on one hand, it makes leaving easier - but on the other - it makes leaving feel like a bid toward a lifetime of permanent waywardness. GOOD TIMES :)
I look forward to reading your posts, Luca. Thank you so much for sharing 🩷
Thank you for reading, so much!
"I am clinging to this house like a life raft, terrified to let go lest I take the wrong next step"
